My two favorite ways to relax are facials and a glass of wine. Last week, the two came together as Aguiar Plastic Surgery and Essentials Med Spa celebrated with a customer appreciation event at Napa Flair in Westchase. I was delighted to attend, as I became a client of Essentials Med Spa after meeting Jennifer Aguiar at a luncheon hosted by Working Women of Tampa Bay. My first visit to Essentials Med Spa was in February and I experienced the ultimate facial with a cranberry peel. Since then, I have been a very happy client. Jennifer Aguiar has extensive knowledge of skin care products and has introduced me to the product line that I am using today. My skin has never looked or felt better.
I was delighted when I learned that the event was being held at Napa Flair, was a place I had been wanting to visit for the last few months. Friends had been telling me about the incredible wine selection as well as the amazing home decor that has such a “Napa Flair.” As I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Leslie Joy Ickowitz of VERTICAL Tampa Bay . Leslie co-sponsored this very VERTICAL event and introduced me to LuAnn Shapiro, owner of Napa Flair. LuAnn and I really hit it off and I was impressed by her awe-inspiring knowledge of wine. Having lived in Napa Valley, LuAnn has managed to recreate the look and feel of a wine boutique in Northern California. I felt so at home in her store that it brought tears to my eyes.

The room was filled with beautiful people smiling as they sipped on wine and all spoke of their wonderful experiences with Dr. Aguiar and his amazing staff. Jennifer Aguiar has such a vibrant personality and her smile just lights up the room. I had a wonderful conversation with her and thanked her for all she has done for me. As a proud member of Working Women of Tampa Bay, a business owner and a mother, Jennifer is someone I truly admire. She is one of the hardest working women I know and I am always honored to be in her presence. Her devotion to her clients is much like her devotion to her family.

As I sipped on a glass of sparkling wine, I walked around and was mesmerized by the beautiful decor that adorned the walls. One piece really captivated me and reminded me of the simpler days in Northern California before it became a mecca for technology. Farming and agriculture dominated long before Google and eBay. As a child, I vividly remember the vast amounts of orchards near my childhood home in San Jose. My brother and I used to love picking cherries and plums from the trees in our yard and then washing them off with the garden hose and eating them fresh off the branch. The picture below reminds me of those days and I would love to have it in my kitchen.

I needed to draw my attention away from the beautiful artwork and began browsing the wine selection. For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to beautiful and unique labels. After finishing a nice bottle, I recycle them in my kitchen. I fill them with olive oil, balsamic vinegar or my own infused oils and place a pour spout in the top for easier pouring. My kitchen is always filled with unique bottles, which adds a nice touch. I spotted the Radio Boca Tempranillo from Spain and fell in love with the label as well as the price! This beautiful bottle was $9! LuAnn has a fabulous selection of great wines for every budget.

As the evening drew to a close, a few of us posed for a group photo. I had such a wonderful time and met some wonderful people. Tampa Bay is blessed to have such incredible jewels such as VERTICAL Tampa Bay, Aguiar Plastic Surgery and Napa Flair. If you are looking for the ultimate experience, I recommend going for a facial at Essentials Med Spa, stopping by Napa Flair and picking up a bottle of wine and then enjoying your glass of wine while you browse through the visually stunning VERTICAL Tampa Bay.
